"The Specialist" on the easel

Another group of paintings will soon be off to Trailside Galleries (www.TrailsideGalleries.com).
These paintings feature Native American horses - my old favorite subject - and can be seen on my web site at www.LynnWadeArt under "Paintings".

I've been asked to teach a beginner painting class here in Ocala (which I love to do), so will be taking a couple days per week from the easel through the 'snowbird' season…

I've completed three portraits this season, and have also finally gotten the "Critiques" section of my web site up and running. I learned to paint through critiques from a mentor so it's a learning tool I've always believed in. In this day and age, with the help of the Internet, it's such an easy way to have a one-on-one "class" from the comfort of your home.

Now it's back to the easel for more gallery paintings!

Summer, 2011

It's barely begun and this has already been a busy month, getting a dozen paintings framed, boxed and shipped to Trailside Galleries in Scottsdale, AZ!

With just a couple of exceptions, this body of work features Arabians and Gypsy Vanner Horses - both of which I've owned and loved.

This first painting, of a gray Arabian mare, is a 7 x 5" oil on board titled "Lovely". It's framed in broken silver leaf (she just HAD to have silver). It should be in the gallery by August 20th.
